Handwriting for Kids: English Grammar
Plural Nouns

Plural nouns are used often in sentences and describe who is doing the action. As such, it is important to understand how to make a noun into a plural noun. Many nouns are formed easily by adding an "s" or "es" to the end of the word.

Example of Regular Plural Nouns:

Singular Plural
Book Books
Church Churches
Pencil Pencils
Song Songs

Unfortunately, not all nouns are regular nouns. Irregular nouns are formed into plurals usually by changing parts of the word as a whole.

Example of Irregular Plural Nouns:

Singular Plural
Child Children
Tooth Teeth
Ox Oxen
knife knives
